I can’t tell any of our family and friends because we are having a reveal party on September 4 for all of them. But we just had our 3-D ultrasound and voila! A boy.

I’m happy. I wanted a boy. But there’s a tiny bit of sadness because I think I kind of wanted a girl, too.

Also. His name is Chandler. The girl name we had picked out was Phoebe. Bet y’all can’t guess where those were from.

Before our twins were born, we were having the sonograms, but we didn’t want to know if they were boys or girls. When proud parents-to-be show me their sonogram pictures I always smile and nod and make appropriate “awwwe” sounds but in reality it usually just looks like random static to me. I have better luck with those hidden picture 3D posters than I do with sonograms so I’m not sure if I could tell a turtle from a taco.

WHOHOO!!!!

I have a 6 month old son and it’s fucking amazing! I was gonna be happy either way but when they said it was a boy I damn near passed out because I could barely contain myself. I had honestly never experienced that level of excitement ever before.
